Go green & thoughts on Bian Que (Energy Medicine)

California is banning sales of new gasoline-powered cars and trucks starting in 2035! Gov. Gavin Newsom says will cut greenhouse gas emissions by 35% in the nation’s most populous state. A great news, right? Though  there are a lot of work need to be done before we can truly embrace the change. It includes the maturity and safety of the new technologies, policies to support and encourage this movement, and support from people in our state. I think that it is achievable. Including Germany, France and Norway, at least 15 other countries have already made similar commitments. Why not us?

Class discussions: Bian Que and energy medicine

In our TCM history class, Bian Que was introduced as a legendary physical from the Spring and Autumn Period. He received a magical potion from a mysterious figure that allowed him to see through solid objects andante people’s bodies. He emphasized the four foundational diagnostic methods in TCM, observing, palpating, listening/smelling, inquiry. Many people think that he is not a real historical figure. I am not sure about it. Today, there are a number energy healers claim that they can “See” people’s energy fields, and practice their healing work based on it. Could Bian Que actually is a real person? His x-ray vision does not sound stranger in energy healing world today. Maybe he was so good at practicing QiGong or meditation so that he developed the ability to “See” Qi and channels?
